Does PlaceKey.com encourage people to post their property without using a licensed real estate agent?We provide online property advertising for both individual property owners and licensed real estate agents. While many of our users choose to list a property without the assistance of a real estate professional, we encourage everyone to seek the assistance of a licensed professional as they can provide assistance beyond the advertising of properties online. How can I make my post a featured listing on PlaceKey.com?Currently, we are looking at ways to provide the ability to feature a property on PlaceKey.com. Once we have determined the best way to provide this feature to our users we will allow you to select this option from the posting page.
Why am I told that my property is already listed on PlaceKey when I try to add a new post?We try to minimize the amount of identical property postings on the website to provide a better environment for our users to search. If you feel that your property is being posted by someone that is not authorized to do so, we recommend that you search for that property on our site and contact the poster directly.
If you are unable to find the active post on the website and/or the property you are posting shares the same mailing address as another property (such as Apartments, Office Buildings and Condominiums), make sure that you are adding the appropriate Suite or Unit number in the address and this should allow you to post.
If you have tried both of the steps above and are still being told that your property is already listed, send an email to bugs@placekey.com. Include a brief description of the problem you are having along with the full address of the PROPERTY you are attempting to post. We will respond to your email as soon as possible.
We make every effort to ensure that PlaceKey.com remains a user friendly environment and we do not tolerate users that abuse our customer’s experience. Please email us at abuse@placekey.com and include the address of the property listed on PlaceKey.com. If you are the first to identify an inappropriate post on our site, we will provide you with a code for a free 30 day post on our website.
Why don’t you provide access to listings from the MLS?While many sites on the web provide listing information from the MLS, we currently do not offer this feature on PlaceKey.com. One of our primary reasons is the fact that the MLS is currently comprised of hundreds of different companies across North America and there is not a standard interface that we feel will best suit our users’ needs. If we choose to offer this service on PlaceKey.com in the future we will notify all of our current users of the change.
